About the event

Ever wondered how military teams plan operations, anticipate risk, and adapt to fast-changing conditions? Come get a taste of it for yourself!

The Women’s Wargaming Network is teaming up with Charlotte Lathrop to host a hands-on Intro to Operational Wargaming session — a beginner-friendly walkthrough of how these games simulate real-world decision-making. We’ll explore the Operational Wargaming System, a tool widely used across the U.S. Department of Defense for Joint Professional Military Education, and by allies and partners around the world.

Charlotte will kick off the evening with a brief introduction to the system, then guide participants through a tutorial-style game so you can learn by doing. Whether you're brand new to wargaming or just curious about how strategy and planning play out at the operational level, this event is for you.

👥 Open to all. No prior experience needed – just bring curiosity!

⚠️ Space is limited to 16 participants…
