🎲 Workshop: (War)game Theory? How Game Theory Can Contribute to Wargame Design with Pijus Krūminas

Game theory and wargaming both model decision-making—but from very different angles. Game theory is mathematical and makes assumptions about how actors behave. Wargaming hands agency to real participants and lets them decide.
Yet, despite the clear differences, can there be complementarities? We will look at one specific point of intersection: using game theory models to inform wargame design. After a short introduction to the very basics of game theory, we will move on to an interactive exercise where participants will sketch their own wargame design ideas stemming from a given game theoretic model.
